World Water Week

World Water Week in Stockholm is the annual focal point for the globe’s water issues. It is organized by SIWI. In 2017, World Water Week will address the theme “water and waste – reduce and reuse”. Researching Sandwatch possibilities in the Netherlands

Together with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment, KIMO (Mike Mannaart), Vereniging Kust en Zee/Coastal&Marine Union (EUCC, Robert Steenbergen) and the acadamy for Coast and Sea management ‘van Hall Larenstein Hogeschool’ (VHL/KZM, David Goldsborough), the Committee has decided to try and implement Sandwatch in the Netherlands. A group of students at the academy for coast and sea management will research the possibilities of implementing Sandwatch in the Netherlands. Background The Open Panel of Commission for Hydrology Experts (OPACHE) is the reservoir of scientific and technical expertise that the Commission for Hydrology (CHy) uses to fulfil its mission. International Training Course on Climate Services for Disaster Prevention
